Do I have to live in the Yukon to enter the contest?
Participants must reside in the Yukon. Voters from outside of the Yukon and Canada are welcomed and eligible.
Does my pet have to be adopted from the Yukon Humane Society to enter/win?
No, they do not need to be adopted from the shelter. This contest is open to any eligible animal. This includes dogs, cats, birds, rabbits and critters. No farm animals or exotic pets are eligible for entry.
My pet has passed away, may I still enter them?
Yes, you can! But remember, you need to have digital quality photos of them. If the photos are not sufficient for the designer, the runner-up will be given your spot. If you would like your photo to be reviewed, please send it to greatbeer@yukonbeer.com
How do I change my entry photo?
If you would like to change your entry photo, please email the new photo and a link to your contest entry to greatbeer@yukonbeer.com
What if there is a tie?
If there is a tie, the contestants will be put in a draw. The winner of the draw will get the prize.
Will my donors receive a tax receipt?
Yes, those who donate $10.00 or more will receive a tax-receipt. Tax receipts will be sent out approximately two weeks after the contest has ended.

If I'm the grand winner, is the photo I submit for the contest the one that will appear on the label?
No, we will use the submitted photo and any additional photos you provide to create a likeness that will appear on the label.
Contest Rules
This contest is open to any animal, they do not have to be an alumni of Humane Society of Yukon. This includes: dogs, cats, birds, rabbits and critters. No farm animals or exotic pets are eligible for entry. Your entry/pet can be from your past (deceased) or present, so long as you have a quality photo that shows all their cuteness.
Age Requirement: You must be 19+ years of age to participate in the Yukon Brewing x Humane Society of Yukon Beer Label Contest. This includes both entering the contest and fundraising.
Contest Timing: The contest opens at 8:00:00 AM (Yukon Time) on Friday, January 31, 2025. The contest closes at 11:59:59 PM (Yukon Time) on Friday, February 28, 2025. All fundraising must occur within these dates.
Winner Announcement: The four winners will be announced on the homepage of the contest website within three days after the contest closes. The winners will also be contacted directly by the Yukon Brewing to arrange for photo submissions (in addition to the photo already submitted to give the designer options).
Fundraising Verification: Winners will be determined based on the number of points raised by their entry. All donations must be made online and directly to your contest entry to be counted towards your fundraising total. All donations to the photo contest are final. To join the contest, you must create an entry on the contest website.
Tiebreaker: In the case of a tie, those contestants will be entered into a random drawing, performed under the supervision of Yukon Brewing.
Entry Disqualification: Yukon Brewing reserves the right to disqualify an entry based on objectionable content or depiction of the animal or persons in a photo. Donations collected will be refunded if requested by the donors.
Photo Submission Deadline: All winners must provide a selection of 3-4 photos of their pet by a specified amount of time after the contest ends. Photos must meet the image requirements outlined below. If appropriate photos are not provided by the deadline, Yukon Brewing will offer the winning place to the next eligible contestant.
Content Usage Agreement: By agreeing to the waiver when you enter the contest, you acknowledge and give permission to the Yukon Brewing and Humane Society of Yukon to use the name, story, and photo of the animal entered in future publications, promotions, and materials.
Image and Name Requirements for Winners
Photo Rights: Winners must own the rights to the photos they provide (photos taken by professional photographers that have not given written permission are not eligible).
Policy Compliance: No images in conflict with Humane Society of Yukon policies or procedures can be accepted, e.g. no animals can appear to be in distress. If a photo is deemed ineligible, the winning contestant will have five days to submit new photos. If a usable photo cannot be produced, the label will go to the next eligible contestant.
