1. Photos and voting will be accepted on the contest website from 9:00:00 AM (Eastern Time) on Monday, May 27, 2024 until 5:00:00 PM (Eastern Time) on Thursday, June 27, 2024
   
   
2. One pet per photo, per submission
   
   
3. Multiple pets must be made as separate submissions
   
   
4. All dogs, cats and companion small mammals, reptiles and birds are eligible to enter!
   
   
5. Entrance fee for contest $20 per entry. This is eligible for a tax receipt and 20 votes towards the pet submitted
   
   
6. Memorial submissions are welcomed, a great tribute to a beloved companion to honour their memory. 
   
   
7. The 12 winners with the highest number of votes will be asked to:
   -  Confirm if they are able to attend one of the two pre-scheduled photography sessions with our professional photographer at locations that have been selected by HSLM. If they are unable to attend, they are to submit a high resolution photo within appropriate dimensions to be included in our calendar by September 1st.

7. The voting will end at 5:00:00 PM (Eastern Time) on Thursday, June 27, 2024
   
   
8. If there is a tie for any of the top 12 vote spots, the tie breaker will be determined by the individual who submitted their entry first and this will be displayed accordingly on the home page under the Leaderboard. The pets who are displayed as the top 12 at the end of the competition on the home page under the Leaderboard will be the final winners.
   
   
9. Votes are $1 each. $20 will count for 20 Votes and $50 will count for 50 votes, etc.
   
   
10. Photos become the property of Humane Society London & Middlesex. By submitting a photo entry, you warrant and represent that your entry is your own original work created by you and that you own or otherwise control all of the rights to your entry materials. Humane Society London & Middlesex reserves the right to disqualify at any time any photo it determines to be unsuitable. If you submit an entry that is copyrighted by another individual, you are responsible for any legal action the copyright holder takes against you. You agree to indemnify Humane Society London & Middlesex and hold them harmless from and against any claims of any nature arising in connection with the Humane Society London & Middlesex Calendar Photo Contest. Entrants grant Humane Society London & Middlesex all rights of ownership, reproduction and royalty-free indiscriminate use of entries and photographs for any purpose. By submitting a photo to the Humane Society London & Middlesex Calendar Photo Contest, the artist agrees to give and grant to Humane Society London & Middlesex its employees, nominees, agents, successors and assigns unlimited authorization, consent and permission to publish and use, any and all information about the animal and any and all reproductions of animal's likeness (photographic or otherwise), and with or without the use or disclosure of guardian's name.

• The top 12 vote-getters will each get a featured month spread in the 2025 calendar
  
  

• $1 = 1 vote, . You can vote for your own pet's photo(s) as many times as you'd like! (minimum vote $10)
  • Vote online:
    • Click on the View Entries and Vote link. Search the pet's name and click on their photo. You can then cast your vote(s) on the pet's page!
    • The deadline to cast votes is afternoon 5:00PM EST June 27, 2024
    • Easily share your pet's photo entry on social media by using the buttons on their page. Share with your friends and family and get them to vote!
      
      

• The top vote-getters will be featured on the homepage of the Photo Fundraiser website throughout the contest
• The based on their position at the end of the contest, top vote-getters will each win a physical copy of the 2025 calendar and an opportunity to attend a professional photography session for your pet. Month selection will be based on final position at the end of the contest. First place gets first choice, second place, second choice and so on.
• First place will receive a $200 Ren's Pets gift card, 2nd place will also receive a Ren's gift card with the value of $100, and third place receives a $50 gift card.
  
  

• The winners will be the Top 12 entries on the leader board at 5:00:00 PM (Eastern Time) on Thursday, June 27, 2024. You can check the leader board to see how your pet's photo is doing in the contest. You will also receive an email of congratulations, including further details of your prizes and photography session.
  
  

• Tax receipts will be issued for all donations over $10, in order to receive your tax receipt please include your correct mailing and email address when you cast your votes. Official tax receipts will be sent once the contest is closed.
  
  

• Calendar sales start in the Fall 2024 through the HSLM online store, at our Pet Gift locations and in the shelter.

2)  Write a brief (2-3 sentences) description about your pet and why they are so special.

3)  Register your pet on the 2025 HSLM Calendar Contest Page. There is registration fee of $20; this will include 20 votes for your pet.

4)  Share your contest page with friends and family through your social media channels! Donations made in support of an animal are valued at one vote for every $1.00 donated. Those who donate $10.00 or more will receive a tax-receipt.

5)  The 12 pets with the most votes will be chosen to be featured in the 2025 HSLM Calendar, and have the opportunity to participate in a photo shoot session with a professional photographer.

6)  The contest runs from 9:00:00 AM (Eastern Time) on Monday, May 27, 2024 until 5:00:00 PM (Eastern Time) on Thursday, June 27, 2024.
