Shelby was a rescue from the Humane Society of Hobart. She was very sad and withdrawn there, as the shelter was just too overwhelming for her. She had never had much human contact as she was an outside dog locked in a dog run. We took a chance and decided to adopt her and give her the chance to know what a loving home was like with a family who absolutely adores her! She has come SO far in the 3 months we have had her. She has been the best girl and just absolutely loves belly rubbings! For a dog that didn't like and wasn't used to anyone touching her, that's HUGE! She didn't even know what "TREATS" were! She is in training and doing great! She didn't know any basic commands even. She's endured some trauma in her past, but she's so sweet and chosen to move forward and enjoy life! She is acting like a puppy now, playing and having fun, something she probably never had a chance to do before. When she sleeps, she looks so happy. She snores, as if she's finally found some peace. All dogs deserve a chance to just be dogs!
