Why is your dog a hero?
Big Rig is a hero because everyday he shows me that a smile is the greatest gift you can give. Everywhere we go people stop us to pet him and he brings smiles, kindness, joy and a joie de vie to people.
Big Rig visits assisted living homes and is a Pitty Pawfessor (teaching kids that differences are beautiful) and we are so looking forward to starting that back up! You may ask -'what is he?' Big Rig is an American pocket bully with a double lip and cleft palate. Although Big Rigs start of life was challenging with bouts of pneumonia, tube feeding and constant care, he never gave up and is now thriving and spreads awareness about animals with disabilities. We adopted him from Roadogs and Rescue in Dec 2018.
Big Rig would be honored to represent the LAFD by being the
