Why is your dog a hero?
Popeye was rescued from the streets as a very young pup, and in turn, he rescued us from broken hearts after we lost our other dog to cancer at a young age. Despite his rough start to life he is a very happy dog. He loves all creatures, big and small, and makes friends everywhere he goes. He enjoys going on pack hikes with his doggy friends, old and new! He is our 2 yr old daughter's best friend, being ever so patient with her as she colors on him or tries to dress him up. He has helped me when I was in deep postpartum depression, by getting out and keeping active. He is always putting smiles on people's faces whenever we are out, by being his happy, wiggly, goofy self. We're proud supporters of firefighters everywhere, and most definitely the LAFD, where his uncle is a firefighter. We would be honored to be able to join the LAFD by being an "Honorable Hero"!
