Hello Summer Pet Photo Contest

Have a photogenic pet? Ever wanted to show off the adorableness of your furry friend? Submit your pet’s photo to The Heritage Humane Society’s 2024 Hello Summer Pet Photo Contest and get the most votes to win a featured spot in the 2025 Hello Summer Pet Photo Contest Calendar! From May 20 to June 17, pet lovers have the chance to showcase their beloved companions in a competition that helps homeless pets in need.

The top 13 photos with the most votes when the contest ends on June 17 will enjoy a complimentary photo session with Sweet Ellie Photography. The 1st place winner will be the cover of the calendar. The 2nd - 13th place winners will each receive a month in the calendar. Each vote is only $1 (required minimum of 5 votes) and 100% of the proceeds benefit the sheltered animals at The Heritage Humane Society.

Entries and voting open at 7:00:00 AM (Eastern Time) on Monday, May 20, 2024 and close at 5:00:00 PM (Eastern Time) on Monday, June 17, 2024. Mini prizes will be awarded at 5 PM each Friday during the contest to the top voted pet. You can only win one mini prize. If the same pet is the top voted winner for two consecutive weeks, the mini prize will go to the next highest voted pet.

All entrants will receive information on the 2025 Hello Summer Pet Photo Contest Calendar after the photo sessions are completed and the calendar is created.

Prizes

The top 13 photos with the most votes on June 17 at 5 PM will win complimentary photography sessions with Sweet Ellie Photography. One of the images captured at the session will be in the 2025 Hello Summer Pet Photo Contest Calendar.

The 1st place winner will be the cover of the calendar.

The 2nd - 13th place winners will each receive a month in the calendar.

Photo sessions will be held on specified dates and at specified locations around Williamsburg/James City County.

In order to customize the free session, there will be an option to upgrade the free session for a fee.

Upgrades will be worked out between Sweet Ellie Photography and the contest winners.

Contest winners will have the opportunity to purchase their own session artwork for an additional fee.

Complimentary photo sessions are non-transferable.

Rules

One pet per photo.
No people in the pets, only pets.
Multiple pets may be entered in individual photos.
Entries and voting open at 7:00:00 AM (Eastern Time) on Monday, May 20, 2024and close at 5:00:00 PM (Eastern Time) on Monday, June 17, 2024.
$3 entry per photo.
Each vote is $1 (required minimum of 5 votes).
The pet does not have to be an alumni of The Heritage Humane Society
The pet does not have to reside in Williamsburg/James City County
