Habitat for Cats is dedicated to relieving the suffering of the feral and homeless cat population throughout Rochester and neighboring communities. We are a completely volunteer based organization. We humanely reduce the overpopulation of cats that are abandoned and/or born into homelessness by implementing the trap-neuter-vaccinate-return (TNVR) method of animal care. In addition, we foster abandoned cats and litters of kittens which we adopt to loving, responsible homes. Habitat for Cats' Foster Program includes providing our rescued felines with all necessary medical care and all associated expenses. We work to educate the public about the detriments of the growing numbers of cats who are homeless and suffering within our communities and explain the benefits of the extremely successful and non-lethal process of TNVR, a service that saves cats from pain and suffering, and reduces the physical, financial, and emotional load on area shelters. Habitat For Cats is a registered 501c3 nonprofit organization. We survive on donations from the community and the time, effort, and care given by our volunteers.
