The story behind the photo
I was sad that I missed the opening ceremonies for the Barbara Walker Crossing, although I had been watching the progress of its construction on my occasional visits to Portland. I took this photo a few months after the ceremony to remind myself of how important it was to have a safe route over Burnside.
