The story behind the photo
A small group of us met for a 9 a.m. New Year’s day run, starting on the trail where Leif meets Germantown Road. It was icy cold with a bit of fog, and bright sun. Rounding a corner, I wanted to capture what it felt like to be in all of those elements: Icy cold, dazzling sunlight, leafless trees.
