A little about me...
We have enjoyed fostering several dogs and cats for FAR. Normally, FAR names the fosters and we pick them up at FAR Bell Rd location. In this case, we met the transporter in Sept 2022 at a parking lot in Phoenix to pick up Coco. Since she had not yet been assigned a name, we were allowed to pick her name, which we felt had to be “Coco Chanel.” She weighed a mere 1.6lbs at the time and we fell in love!
She became a “foster fail” when we officially adopted her on 12/17/22. She had a major surgery in Sept 2023 to repair a liver shunt, which if not repaired could have shorted her life span to 2 years. We were fortunate to notice some behavior changes, which led to lab testing and diagnosis. Now she is thriving and 4+lbs of sweetness. We are truly blessed.
