Jewel came to her trainer after being rescued from a California shelter where she endured hot cage like conditions for over 8 months.

When Jewel first came to Oregon she was covered in hundreds of ticks, wounds, underweight, and had no concept of basic commands or expectations for an older dog.

Working with her trainer and community, Jewel quickly turned around and now is a certified PTSD service dog who serves her community weekly by visiting veterans, children’s hospital, mental health groups, recovery groups and more!

Jewel has also become a role model to other rescue dogs and aides these fur babies in transitioning from cage to home with ease and love.

Jewel came from a world where nobody wanted her to a place where she brings smiles, love and hope to every human and pup alike.

The world is a better place because Jewel is in it. ❤️❤️❤️
