It's that time of year again! We know you think your Coco-hound or Coco-kitty is the cutest, but now is your chance to prove it (and for a great cause!). Dogs and Cats of the Dominican Republic Animal Rescue is a registered Canadian charity which creates awareness and raises funds to assist with ongoing animal welfare rescue efforts in the Dominican Republic. Every year we host a contest for our adopted and/or fostered coco-hounds and coco-kitties to raise funds for on-island initiatives and determine the cover models for our annual calendar! The 12-month calendar for 2025 is our fourth annual fundraiser to showcase some of our amazing Coconut Hounds and Cats in their new forever homes.
- ENTRY COST: Each photo entry costs $5 (and there is no limit to how many photos you can enter!).
- VOTING: Vote, vote, vote! Every dollar donated earns one vote so you can vote as many times as you like (with all funds going to a great cause!).
- EARLY BIRD ENTRIES: Entries received by July 22, 2024, will automatically receive 5 free votes!!
To really make your pet a star you will need to promote, promote, promote! So, share your pet's page with friends, family, & co-workers and ask them to vote. Let them know that their votes help dogs and cats in need in the Dominican Republic ($1 donation per vote with a minimum of $5 donation).Prizes
12 WINNING PETS:
The 12 pets with the highest vote totals will receive as their prize their very own calendar month page. In addition to their photo, owners will be invited to send in a brief description of their pet and their life now (do they enjoy sunset walks on a beach? Or frolicking through the snowy mountains?). Owners will also receive a copy of the 2025 calendar!!
THE GRAND PRIZE:
Oh, and the pet with the highest votes total will be featured on the cover page as well!!! 😊
COLLAGE PAGE:Any entry receiving more than 50 votes will be automatically included in our entry collage page!

Want a guaranteed spot in the calendar? Reserve a day to honor your Pet for $15. Your pet's photo will appear on the day of your choice. Just choose your favorite photo, add up to a 30-character description and then choose the day and pay! First come first served! (Once a date has been reserved, it will no longer be available.) Honor your pet's birthday maybe? A memorial or Gotcha-Day?
