We adopted Alice in April of 2023, after losing our beautiful Ivey that same month and year. The grief of losing Ivey made it almost impossible to think we could replace her, or go thru that heartache yet again. Thru a series of odd coincidences we saw Alice at Darbster Rescue. I like to think it was Ivey giving us a “shove” in Alice’s direction. There would never be a replacement for Ivey, but Alice mended our heart, allowing for a small scar to remain to remind us of Ivey, always. Alice has gifted us with her wonderful personality, comfort, happiness and absolute joy. Our life has , once again , been filled with absolute love. We hold Alice often, just to feel her heart beating and her soft fur, her trust and warmth that can only come from true love. We are forever grateful to Darbster Rescue.
