Darbster Rescue is pleased to announce its 4th annual Photo Calendar Contest with this year’s special theme of “This Little Life!” Send in your favorite photo of your rescue dog or cat and tell us about his or her amazing little life. And while having fun posting pics and voting for contestants, you will also help to save the LIFE of more rescue dogs and kitties. All proceeds from this contest will go to the rescue, transport and adoption efforts of Darbster Rescue.
There is no entry fee this year - simply submit a photo of your beautiful rescue dog or kitty and include a brief bio or story about how your pet is enjoying their beautiful little life. Then encourage all your friends and family to vote! Every vote raises $1 to save animals in our community. The top 13 photos will be featured in our 2025 Annual Calendar with up 24 of the runner-ups and staff favorites displayed as well.
Entries and voting open at 9:00:00 AM (Eastern Time) on Monday, July 15, 2024 and continues to 9:00:00 PM (Eastern Time) on Saturday, August 31, 2024. You can vote as many times and as often as you would like!
Reserve a Day to Honor Your Pet
If you do not want to compete in the contest can still participate and help save homeless animals. For a $15 donation, you can have a date blocked on the calendar with a photo of your pet. This is the perfect chance to celebrate a birthday, honor a pet's memory or just show off your wonderful best friend.

First Place:
First place winner will be featured on the cover and will have a free professional photo session with their rescue pet. They will also receive a Darbster Rescue mug and a Darbster T-shirt.
2nd - 13th Place:
Places 2-13 will be featured on the month pages with their winning photos. They will also receive a Darbster Rescue mug and a Darbster T-shirt.
Runners up
The next 24 runners up will be featured on the back page.
Non Contest Entries
If you do not want to participate in the contest but would like a photo of your beloved pet in the calendar, please submit photo with a $15 donation. Your photo will be placed on date of your choice (e.g. to celebrate a pet’s birthday or honor his/her memory)

- All photos must include an animal adopted from an animal rescue facility.
- Due to possible copyright infringement, please do not submit professional photos including previous contest photos.
- The photos must show the animal in a humane and dignified manner. We have the right to remove a photo at our discretion if we do not feel the photo is appropriate.
- You give permission for Darbster Rescue to use all submitted photos in our calendar and for the calendars to be sold.
- Donation and voting fees are non-refundable ( no entry fees)
