Eligibility
The Coolest Cat in Columbus Contest is open to anyone in the known universe 21-years-old or older who would like to enter their cat to compete for the coveted title of "The Coolest Cat in Columbus" for 2020.
Submit a photo of your cat. Provide a few short sentences why your cat is the coolest of the cool. Photos should be digital and sharp enough to look good on the internet. No photos of people, just your cat or cats. Photos should be in focus to show off your amazing feline.
There is a $10 fee to post your cat, but you automatically receive 10 votes when you enter your cat! If you have multiple cats, you will need to take separate photos of each and post them separately. The $10 posting fee applies to each cat you enter.
Cat owners are encouraged to have their friends, relatives, and co-workers go to the contest website and vote for their cat.
Votes cost $1.00 per vote and are paid via credit card with no maximum on how many votes a person can buy. For example, you can give 100 votes to your favorite cat by donating $100 in a single transaction via the website and come back to the site as many times as you want and donate votes as often as you'd like.
Cat owners themselves are encouraged to buy as many votes as they'd like too.
All proceeds from this fundraiser will be awarded to non-profit organizations in central Ohio for programs that reduce infant mortality and help children not only survive infancy but thrive throughout their childhood.
Contest Period
The Coolest Cat in Columbus Contest will officially launch March 2, 2020 and conclude at midnight on March 31, 2020.
Winners will be announced April 1, 2020.
Prizes
Prizes will be awarded to the
Top 10 Cats that receive the most votes.
Top Dog -- First Place: The cat with the most votes will be crowned the "Coolest Cat in Columbus" for 2020.
The winning cat will be prominently featured on the
front label of a special beer brewed by North High Brewery. (How cool is that?!) The cat owner will have the opportunity to help select the type of beer and name the beer -- subject to approval. (Even cooler!)
The winning cat will be professionally photographed.
The top cat winner may be asked to attend promotional events and be available for interviews by the news media.
Second Place: The cat with the second highest number of votes will be deemed the "Second Coolest Cat in Columbus" for 2020.
The second-place cat will be featured on the
back label of the special brew.
The second-place cat will be professionally photographed.
In the event that the first-place cat is unable or unwilling to fulfill all of the roles and responsibilities of being the Coolest Cat in Columbus, the second-place cat will assume that title and receive all of the benefits described above.
Third Place:
The cat with the third highest number of votes will be deemed the "Third Coolest Cat in Columbus" for 2018.
The third-place cat will be professionally photographed.
The third-place cat will be featured on the
back label of the special brew.
Fourth through Tenth Place: The cats with the fourth through tenth highest number of votes will be deemed "cool cats" and will be featured on the
back label of the special brew in a smaller photo of the one that was submitted to the contest. The cat owners will be responsible for providing a quality photo of their cats. The photo posted on the contest website can be used, if the cat owner prefers, or they may submit a different photo for use on the label.
