About Us

Lancaster Unleashed, Inc. is a community-based non-profit 501 (c) (3) corporation. They are the champions of unleashed fun for furry friends. The organization teamed up with the Erie County Department of Parks, Recreation & Forestry to create a pawsitively awesome community dog park in Como Lake Park in Lancaster, New York. After 6 years of planning, the Bark Park opened in October 2021.

The dog park, known as Como Lake Bark Park, is a 1.5-acre area of tail-wagging delight nestled close to Shelter #10, just a bone's throw away from the Bowen Road entrance to Como Lake Park. It's the canine hotspot your pups have been barking about!

Through their efforts, they aim to enhance the quality of life for dogs and their owners in Lancaster and the surrounding communities. They also organize events like the Annual Calendar Photo Contest to engage the community and raise funds for the park's maintenance and improvement.
