Your Pet's Story from his/her perspective
When I was ten days old my sister Cricket and I lost our mother. We ended up at a big place with lots of other pets. Our eyes had just opened and we were scared and hungry. We were put in a cage with another mom and her kittens. They accepted us and together we went to a foster home.

Our new mother got sick and didn't have enough milk for all of us so a nice lady fed us with an eyedropper and then when we were able, we got bottles. Everybody got adopted and left me. But I was the luckiest one--I've been in the same home for eighteen years!

I've had many health problems which my nice lady has helped with. She makes me take icky medicines but she cuddles me every night so I forgive her. I've had many, many family members and friends here, including cats, dogs, and even parakeets!

I'm an old man now and have arthritis and allergies. I stay in our bedroom where I have steps onto the big bed and my very own litter box (which I sometimes ignore). I can't hear anymore so I yowl loudly when I want something.

My original cat and dog family is all gone but my lady and I remain devoted to each other. She tells me it is rare that any cat spends their entire life in one home but thankfully, I am a lucky old guy and am still here--where I belong!
