Your Pet's Story
Hi! My name is Cookie! I am 12 years old, and I want to share my story with you. I had a really hard "kittenhood". I had 4 surgeries by the time I was 1 year old! 3 of the surgeries were on my back legs, all within 6 months. I couldn't stand it! My mommy took care of me and made sure I got what I needed to get strong and healthy again, even when I didn't always like it. After all of that, I was afraid to move in case I got hurt again. I hate to admit it, but I gained a lot of weight. I was up to almost 21 pounds at one point, which is like 210 pounds for humans. My mommy put me on a special extra healthy diet. I am happy to say that I haven't had any more injuries over the last 11 years. Now I feel healthy, energetic, and most of all, happy! I love to play, get pets and cuddles, and bug my mommy for treats. She usually gives in eventually because I am so cute and irresistible. Long story short, I never gave up hope and neither should you!
