Lily, shih tzu, was found two February's ago by a neighbor, starving, freezing and matted so badly you couldn't tell if she had two eyes. She was shaking and whimpering when Michele found her huddled in the corner of her porch. She had to be shaved down and only had a little hair left on her face and the end of her tail, but she was healthy, except for being underweight, obviously a back yard breeder. The mailman said he had seen her running around the neighborhood for a couple of weeks. My Brussels Griffon, Ernie and I had seen flashes of something light colored on our nightly walks. Luckily she was smart enough to take cover on my neighbor's porch before an ice storm coming in later that day. When she was spayed later, the vet said her uterus was stretched out and she was under two years old. Since she was spayed she's become the puppy she never had the chance to be before. She's a beautiful Emperial Shih Tzu thrown away after having as many litters possible in the short time she had been alive.
