Your Pet's Story or Bio (How was your pet rescued? Any cute tricks?)
Joey, (fka Reese) was a 10 year old owner surrender we rescued from Carson Shelter on July 11th, 2014. Thanks to Carey Nagoda for transporting her to us! Poor Joey was a hot mess! She had a chronic ear infection in both ears, green discharge from her eyes, multiple cysts and scabs, limited vision, and an endocrine disease. All of this aside from the obvious skin condition causing her crazy itchiness and neglected grooming. Look at those mats!

When she first arrived she was very untrusting, and growled at the unfamiliar hand. After being cleaned up and exploring the house, she was begging to jump on our laps! She has gone to Fiesta Island, and has miraculous recall for being unfamiliar and blind! Her new mom says she loves standing on her favorite bench in the yard, watching everything, and is slowly learning the doggie door! She is spunky and curious, but also loves to cuddle. We know that life will only get better from here for sweet Joey! Her rescue was made possible because Paula Rushton offered to be her new Family!
