Welcome to the Candlewood Valley Regional Land Trust’s Second Annual Photograph Contest Fundraiser!

The Candlewood Valley Regional Land Trust is an accredited 501c3 nonprofit conservation organization with the sole mission of preserving natural resources.  Our goal is to permanently protect properties with significant conservation value, connect people with the land, and educate the public about critical conservation issues we are facing each day.  Your participation in our Photo Contest directly serves to help improve and maintain conserved properties; our work is entirely volunteer and donor driven. 

We are continuing our commitment to preserving our open spaces by welcoming all levels of  photographers to submit works featuring the lands we all love in the following categories:

• Sunrise, Sunset (At daybreak and nightfall the sky transforms into a majestic canvas.  Show us your favorite shots from sunrise and sunset – the ones that are worth getting up or staying up for.)
• Wildlife (Whether feathers, fur, scales, or something entirely different, we enjoy a peek at the creatures living around us. Submit photos of our wild friends.)
• Took a Hike! (Loved the view? Took the path less traveled?  Traversed an amazing landscape?  Found a cool rock?  Looking for photos you took wherever your travels led you.)
• Going Green (From acorns to oaks, fungi to flowers, and all plants in between, vegetation is the sustenance of life.  Submit photos of your favorite foliage.)

There is a $15 fee for entering your photograph into the contest, and there is no limit to the number of photos you can enter.  All photos must be uploaded where indicated.

Each vote is $1. Each $1 donation counts as one vote for that photo.  One winner for each category will be selected through online voting, so be sure to invite your friends and family to vote for your photographs!  Viewers can vote as many times as they like for their favorite photograph(s) in each of the four categories.  A professional photographer will select one additional photograph for the grand prize of Best in Show.
