Meet Gaspard, our delightful 7-year-old Maltese Shih Tzu, soon to be 8 in September. Initially a birthday present for me (mum), it didn’t take long for the whole family to claim him. Gaspard has mastered the art of making each family member feel like his absolute favourite, a talent that keeps us all wrapped around his little paws.

From day one, Gaspard has been a whirlwind of joy and energy. He loves going on walks and runs, always ready to explore the world with a wagging tail and an enthusiastic spirit. Whether it’s a brisk morning jog or a leisurely afternoon stroll, Gaspard is our trusty exercise companion, reminding us that it’s always a good time for an adventure. On our walks, he especially loves meeting other dogs, greeting each one with the same enthusiasm and curiosity.

Gaspard is also a bit of a yogi. He loves to stretch, often showing us up dog and downward dog poses. His yoga routine is a daily reminder of the importance of flexibility and relaxation, and it’s hard not to be inspired by his commitment to staying limber.

When he’s not exercising, Gaspard enjoys spending his days snoozing in the sun. He’s a sun-worshipper through and through, often found in the perfect sunny spot, basking like he’s on a tropical vacation. His love for sunbathing is only rivaled by his love for food—particularly lettuce and carrots. Yes, you read that right. While other dogs dream of steak, Gaspard munches on his veggies with the enthusiasm of a rabbit.

Gaspard’s personality is a charming mix of friendliness and protective instincts. He’ll bark to alert us whenever other dogs or people walk past our house, doing his best to maintain the perimeter. Despite his occasional barking sprees, he’s well-behaved and listens attentively when we talk to him. He’s even perfected the art of shaking hands before accepting treats, charming everyone he meets with his gentlemanly manners.

One of Gaspard’s many endearing qualities is his photogenic nature. This dog loves the camera. This gorgeous boy has a way of melting hearts, and he knows just how to strike a pose. Whether he’s channeling his inner model or caught in a candid moment, Gaspard always looks picture-perfect.
