Leo is our lovable little ratbag. He loves everyone, loves cuddles and walks, is pretty good at reconfiguring (ie destroying) our garden irrigation, is the pesky little brother of Abby, our 12 year old cocker spaniel, and is the boss of this family.
A few months ago he was diagnosed with immune mediated poly arthritis (IMPA) - we'd never heard of it. IMPA is a disease in which the immune system mounts an inflammatory response within the joints causing pain, swelling and difficulty walking.
He has received, and continues to receive, excellent specialist treatment and is likely to make a full recovery. We are in the fortunate position of being able to pay for his treatment; this competition provides an opportunity to help those pets who may not be so lucky.
