All of the entries are so "polished." So, how about something different - like a cartoon! The background is a wash of water color and the figures are drawn with a black sharpie and Prismacolor pencils. Don't forget about the environmental warriors - the bird watchers - who monitor the movement and numbers of birds. The elderly are very capable bird watches and are an extension of the work of the Piedmont Bird Club and Audubon Society. Bird watching contributes to the health of the environment. Changing numbers and locations indicate changes in habitat and availability of food. Monitoring birds can even contribute to assessing the air quality. Did you find the "G's?" "Greensboro" is all over the place - and so are the birds. Hope you get a good laugh from this entry!
