We’re thrilled to kick off our 15th Annual Pet Photo Calendar Contest, one of Baypath’s biggest fundraisers of the year! This is your chance to show off your adorable pets while making a real difference. Your participation helps us raise vital funds that directly support our essential services, including animal sheltering, medical costs, adoptions, community outreach, and education programs for youth and adults. Every entry and vote helps us continue our mission to provide compassionate care and find loving homes for animals in need.

- Encourage Votes: Once your photo is entered, spread the word! Share your pet’s entry with family, friends, and on social media to gather votes. Each vote is just $1, and every dollar goes directly to supporting the animals at Baypath Humane Society.

- Entry Period: Opens at 12:00:00 AM (Eastern Time) on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 and closes at 11:59:59 PM (Eastern Time) on Tuesday, October 29, 2024.
- Voting Period: Runs concurrently from 12:00:00 AM (Eastern Time) on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 until 11:59:59 PM (Eastern Time) on Tuesday, October 29, 2024.

- Snap and Submit: Enter your favorite, most aww-worthy photo of your pet and give them a shot at claiming the calendar cover!
- Vote and Rally: Get competitive! Rally your family, friends, and followers to vote - each vote is just $1, and every dollar brings us closer to our goal.
- Climb the Leaderboard: Use the share buttons on your pet’s entry page to post on social media and build your votes. The more votes, the higher your pet climbs!

- Share Frequently: Use the share buttons on your pet’s photo page to post on social media, and don’t forget to tag us for a chance to be featured!
- Tell a Story: Share your pet’s unique quirks, charm, or a fun story to capture hearts and votes. Remember, this is a contest, and every vote counts!
Prizes
Grand Prize:
- The photo with the highest number of votes will be featured on the cover of the calendar AND as the "Pet of the Month" on one of the monthly pages.
- Original photo entry will be featured on Baypath Humane Society’s website and social media.
- The winner will receive a free calendar and a special gift basket filled with pet goodies.
Top 11 Winners:
- The next 11 photos with the highest votes will be featured as "Pet of the Month" on one of the monthly pages.
- Each winner will receive a free calendar.
Additional Winners:
During the competition, pictures with the most votes will be showcased on Baypath's website and social media pages.
How do I vote for a pet's photo?
Votes are $1 each, and all votes are tax-deductible. You can vote for your own pet's photo(s) as many times as you'd like!
Vote Online:
- Click on the "View Entries and Vote" link on the contest page.
- Search for the pet's name and click on their photo.
- Cast your vote(s) on the pet's page!
The deadline to cast votes online is 11:59:59 PM (Eastern Time) on Tuesday, October 29, 2024. To increase your pet's chances, easily share your pet's photo entry on social media by using the buttons on their page. Encourage your friends and family to vote!
Vote by Phone:
- Phone Voting: Please email calendar@baypathhumane.org or call (508) 435-6938 and provide your phone number. A staff member will contact you to vote by phone using a credit card.
- Inquiry for phone votes must be received by 5:00 PM PDT on October 28, 2024
How will I know if I won?
The winners of each category will be announced via email. You can also check the leaderboard on the contest page to see how your pet's photo is doing in the contest.
Eligibility:
Contest opportunity is exclusive to Cats and Dogs only (photos may include multiple dogs and/or cats).
Your pet does NOT have to be adopted from Baypath Humane Society or live in Massachusetts to be eligible to enter the contest.
Entries must be submitted by the pet owner.
Photo Requirements:
Photos must be high-resolution (300 dpi or greater) and in landscape (horizontal) format to be considered for a month spread in the calendar.
Photos with professional photographer watermarks will not be eligible to be included in the calendar.
Photos of animals wearing prong or shock collars are not eligible.
All photos must be non-explicit; photos deemed offensive, indecent, or obscene will be removed from the contest.
Kindly refrain from including people in the photos.

All photos submitted become the property of Baypath Humane Society
If your entry was taken by a professional photographer, you are responsible for ensuring you have permission to submit that image in the contest.
Photos with professional photographer watermarks will not be eligible to be included in the calendar.
Baypath reserves the right to reject any images or captions deemed inappropriate by staff or those that do not align with our standards of care.
