Sterling was picked up by Animal Control in Evans County, on a cold December day in 2012, terrified, a matted mess, and weighing only 5 lbs. She was just a puppy. A wonderful volunteer shared her plight with Georgia Poodle Rescue. I adopted "Jackie O", as she was known at GPR. Renamed Sterling, she is now a happy 12 year old poodle mix with a heart condition (and on meds), and very attached (separation anxiety!) to her human. If I had known, I would have named her Velcro.
