1. Who can I call if I have questions or need help with the contest?

2. How much does it cost to enter the contest?
It is $30 per entry (one photo per entry).

Will my animal be in the calendar if I enter his/her photo?
Yes, all pets who are entered into the contest will be in the calendar. Contestants that are in 3rd place or better will be guaranteed a spot above the fold in the calendar. All other photos will be displayed in the Puparrazzi and Purrrrfect pages inside the calendar.

3. Can my photo contain more than one of my pets?
Yes, photos can have more than one animal. However, there will only be one prize per entry.

4. Can the photo include my human friends and family?
We are sure your friends and family are all beautiful. However, this is an animal only photo contest so please only submit photos of animals.

5. I don't have a digital photo just printed photos of my pets. Can I still enter?
You can submit a hard copy of your photo by mailing or dropping it off to the AWLA with your entry fee. However, please be aware that we can not guarantee the return of printed photos and if the quality of the scanned image is too low, our graphic designer may request another photo.

6. Do I have to enter or vote online or is there another way to participate?
You may enter and vote by mail, phone, email and in person. The deadlines for participating in these ways are different:

Online must be received by noon on September 17, 2015;
By mail or in person entries must arrive at the Vola Lawson Animal Shelter by noon on September 15, 2015. We cannot count post marked dates;
By email must by received at calendar@alexandriaanimals.org by 10am on September 17th, 2015;
By phone must be called in to 703-746-5512 by 10am on September 17th, 2015.

7. If I win the grand prize, will my photo be used on the front cover?
No, the winner of the grand prize will receive a photo shoot by Shelley Castle Photography. AWLA will select one of the photos from this shoot for the cover. The photo of the grand prize winner used in the contest will be displayed on the inside cover of the calendar.
