Your Pet's Story or Bio
After losing my beloved beagle Cali to an eight month battle with lymphoma, I searched the AWLA website for a pet grief group to attend. I ended up in the Adoptable Animals section of the website and was instantly smitten with Charlie (formerly "Banjo"). At the shelter for 4 months, he had been one of the longest residents at AWLA before he was adopted, only to be returned 10 days later.

Unlucky for him, but lucky for me! We've been together since July, and he has settled right in. It is fun watching him learn new things every day, and slowly become more secure and happy in his new home. He has been my little lifeline and I couldn't have asked for a better "grief counselor" than this furry dude.
