Thank you for supporting the animals in Juneau Animal Rescue's shelter by entering photos of your Alaskan pet and voting for the photos you like best. Your entries and votes help us raise funds for our shelter and help your favorite pet become one of the Juneau Animal Rescue 2025 Alaska Pets Calendar winners!

Prizes
How To Be A Winner
There will be thirteen (13) winning photos, which will be featured in full-page photos in the Juneau Animal Rescue 2025 Alaska Pets Calendar. All winners will receive a complimentary Juneau Animal Rescue 2025 Alaska Pets Calendar.
- Votes will determine ten (10) of the monthly features in the Juneau Animal Rescue 2025 Alaska Pets Calendar. Ties will be decided by a vote of the Juneau Animal Rescue Board of Directors.
- Two (2) of the monthly features will be chosen by administrators of the Juneau Photo Group. The Juneau Photo Group is made up of local photographers who are dedicated to sharing photography found in and around Southeast Alaska.
- The cover photo will be chosen by the Juneau Animal Rescue Board of Directors.
- If the Juneau Photo Group or the Board of Directors selects one of the top-ten voted photos, the next top vote-getter will become a winner.
Juneau Animal Rescue's Mission:
- To serve our community by promoting animal welfare and strengthening the animal-human bond.

- To shelter stray, abandoned, and surrendered pets and find them loving homes.
Juneau Animal Rescue is a private, nonprofit animal shelter, located in Juneau, Alaska. JAR has cared for our community's animal population since 1963, providing services that both support our pet loving community and help generate income to further our mission.
Juneau Animal Rescue is an open admission shelter that rescues and receives owner-relinquished and stray domestic animals and cares for them until they are adopted to their forever homes. We provide animal control services and dog licensing for the City and Borough of Juneau. Our veterinary clinic provides vaccination, microchipping, and spay and neuter services for the public as well as the animals in our shelter. We also offer doggy daycare, boarding, and a self-service grooming facility. We are an authorized Hills Science Diet retailer and sell leashes, collars, harnesses, toys, and other pet necessities, along with high-quality JAR logo merchandise.
Entering Your Photos
- To enter your photos, click Enter Contest, create an account, or log in with your existing account. Your contact information is for Juneau Animal Rescue's use only.
- Submit your favorite high-resolution landscape (horizontal) Alaska pet photos. No portrait (vertical) photos and no people in the photos. See below for more details regarding eligible photos.
- There is a $5 entry fee per photo.
- Photos from all seasons of the year are encouraged.
- By submitting your photo, you agree to all conditions provided on this page.
- By submitting your photo, you certify that you own the copyright to the picture and that you agree to grant Juneau Animal Rescue nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual and irrevocable right and license to copy, reproduce, publish in any media, distribute, and display all submitted photos, images, and text.
All photos and votes must be submitted by 11:59:59 PM (Alaskan Time) on Monday, August 12, 2024.Eligible Photos
- Photos submitted for the contest must be landscape (horizontal), high quality (300 dpi minimum), or 3000 X 2400 pixels, JPEG (JPG) images, so that they will produce nice-looking 8x10 images for the calendar. Most cell phones produce images that meet the quality requirements.
- Juneau Animal Rescue reserves the right to edit or crop winning entries to ensure a proper fit for the printed calendar.
- Photos may NOT contain people.
- All submitted photos are subject to review by Juneau Animal Rescue for inappropriate/offensive content.
- Incomplete and/or inaccurate entries and entries not complying with all rules are subject to disqualification without any refund.
- Multiple entries are allowed and encouraged (the contest is a fundraiser, after all), however only one photo of each pet will be eligible to win.
- If one of the top-ten photos does not comply with these rules, Juneau Animal Rescue will have to default to the next highest vote-getting entry as a winner instead.
Voting For Photos
- To vote, click Donate to Vote and choose the number of votes you want to make. There is a minimum of five votes. Continue through the payment screen and your votes will immediately apply to that entry.
- There is no maximum vote limit; voting multiple times throughout the contest is permissible. Ask your friends and family to vote!
- Voting will end at 11:59:59 PM (Alaskan Time) on Monday, August 12, 2024.
- ALL proceeds support Juneau Animal Rescue and the animals we serve.
