2025 Pet Calendar Photo Contest

Welcome to the third annual Adopt a Stray Rescue photo contest! The top 13 winners will be in the 2025 Adopt a Stray Rescue calendar! The top winner will be the cover of the calendar!

Adopt a Stray Rescue's unique mission is to rescue any dog or puppy in need, with a concentrated effort on family units, injured or sick, older, and less adoptable dogs. While many other rescues look to save only healthy young dogs, AASR recognizes that every dog deserves a second chance, and we are committed to providing for their medical and emotional needs, bridging the gap between their former lives of abuse and neglect, and their future lives filled with hope and love. We at AASR believe that for every homeless, mixed breed, or older canine, there is a loving forever family waiting to welcome them home

To help this mission, support is needed. This year, a calendar will be made with our previous and current Adopt a Stray Rescue pets to support AASR! Entries are FREE! Voting will be $1 per photo.

Prizes

The top entry winner will be on the cover of the 2^nd annual Adopt a Stray Rescue (AASR) calendar!
The next top 12 winners will be on each month of the calendar.

Reserve a Day to Honor Your Pet

If you want to guarantee that your pet is included on the calendar? For $15 you can purchase a "Reserve a Day" and your pet's photo will be included on a specific day on the calendar. Just choose your favorite photo and then choose the day! First come first served! Once a date has been reserved, it will no longer be available.

Rules

Official Rules for AASR 2025 Pet Calendar Photo Contest

There is no fee to enter. Each vote costs $1
Any dog or cat may enter one photo that were adopted from Adopt A Stray Rescue (AASR). Photos may have more than one pet in them, adopted from AASR.
There will be 13 winners (One for each month, and the top winner will be the cover!). The winners will be the top 13 photos with the highest donations. If there is a tie, two pets will be in one month!
Please add the pets name, as that will be a part of the photo. No other words or writing will be allowed on the photo.
Each photo must have at least 5 votes to be eligible to be in the calendar!
All photos must be submitted digitally and must be high resolution.
Files must be .JPG.
Since the winners will be featured on a full-page calendar, they should be approximately 3000x2000 pixels or larger. Photos should be of pets only - No people. Please do not add any text to your photo.
AASR reserves the right to reject photos that do not meet the requirements, that do not conform to our contest rules, or that we deem are inappropriate.
Photographs must either feature pets owned by the entrant or the entrant must have permission from the pet's owner to submit their pet's image.
Submitted photos may be shared on AASR social media platforms and/or may be used for marketing purposes.
Winning photos will be published on the 2025 AASR calendar. (Available in October 2024)
We cannot accept copyrighted photos (For example, photos taken by a professional photographer.) By submitting a photo you agree that you are the copyright owner of the photo. Photos that are obviously copyrighted will be disqualified.

Miscellaneous information:

By participating in this contest, entrants agree to release and hold harmless AASR and each of their officers, directors, representatives, volunteers and their families, agents (the Released Parties) from and against any claims of any nature arising out of participation in the contest or receipt or use of any prize.
The contest is subject to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited.

All entries and donations are non-refundable.
