The Athens Area Horse Community, in partnership with Courtney Bryson of CM Bryson Photography, is happy to announce its horse photo calendar contest for 2025.
The Athens Area Horse Community exists to help local horse people solve the problems they collectively face and to offer opportunities for growth and improvement. AAHC focuses on serving horse people that reside within an hour of Athens, Georgia, and they are dedicated to the growth of the local community so that horses are here for future generations.
The AAHC are working to unite the horse community – to partner with county and state level leadership, fighting for sustainable development of green space, offering education and resources for both horse lovers and the general public.
100% of the proceeds from the Horse Photo Calendar Contest submissions and voting will go directly to the Athens Area Horse Community to further serve the local horse community.
Courtney Bryson of CM Bryson has been a horse girl since her papa gifted her a horse for her 4th birthday. She’s been photographing horses & dogs for more than 10 years. Her work has been featured in local & national publications and won awards on an international and national level. Listed as a top 10 Atlanta pet photographer, she creates photographic artwork of Georgia’s well loved dogs & equines.
The winners of the photo contest will be determined by the top entrants that getmthe most votes. The top vote getters will have their pet professionally photographed by CM Bryson Photography for the 2026 calendar.
The calendar contest entry & voting begins at 8:00:00 AM (Eastern Time) on Saturday, March 22, 2025 and ends at 10:00:00 PM (Eastern Time) on Saturday, April 26, 2025! Find more details at www.cmbryson.com/AAHC
Prizes
The winners of the photo contest will be determined by the top 13 entrants that get
the most votes. The top 13 vote getters will have their horse professionally photographed by CM Bryson Photography for the 2025 calendar.
Grand Prize:
The top winner will win the coveted cover photo for the 2025 calendar!
Other Winners:
2nd - 13th place winners will have their horse featured as a horse of the month.
The horse with the most WEEKLY votes will also win a mini prize from one of our business sponsors.
Rules
The winners of the photo contest will be determined by the top 13 entrants that get the most votes.
- The top winner will win the coveted cover photo for the 2026 calendar!
- 2nd - 13th place winners will have their pet featured as a horse of the month.
- Entries may feature only ONE horse.
- The top 13 vote getters will have their horse professionally photographed by CM Bryson Photography for the 2026 calendar.
- All winners will have the opportunity to purchase products and images following their session, if desired.
- If your horse is one of the 13 to be photographed for the calendar, you must live within 1 hour’s drive of Athens, Georgia and be available to be with your horse on predetermined dates in June or July for a professional photo session. You will need to prepare your horse to be “show ready” for the session. Your horse must be able to be handled & haltered safely for the session. Exact details will be provided to winners upon completion of the calendar contest.
- If you are unable to commit to a photo session during those times you forfeit your winning and the next top vote getter will take your horse’s spot in the calendar, no exceptions.
- The top vote recipient will win the coveted cover photo for the 2026 calendar.
- The following 12 recipients with the most votes will be eligible to have their horse featured as a pet of the month.
- The photographer, Courtney Bryson of CM Bryson, will choose the best image of the horse to be used in the calendar as well as which month that image will appear.
Entries
- Each entry is a $5 Donation.
- Limit of ONE (1) horse per photo entry. Horses can be of any breed or discipline. Horses must be living at the time of photo session. People are not allowed in photos, only your horse. Photos that do not follow these rules will not be eligible to win with no opportunity for a refund.
- All photos must be uploaded; we cannot accept printed photos. We cannot accept any copyrighted or professional photos.
- The Submissions Period starts at 8:00:00 AM (Eastern Time) on Saturday, March 22, 2025 and ends at 10:00:00 PM (Eastern Time) on Saturday, April 26, 2025.
- Any photograph that includes content that is deemed inappropriate, indecent, or obscene, as determined by CM Bryson in its sole discretion, will be removed from the contest with no opportunity for a refund.
- Posting more than one photo of your horse does not increase the chances of winning.
- The winners of the photo contest will be determined by the top 13 entries that receive the most votes.
- The same horse can only win once. Attempts to win two spots in the calendar by the same horse will not be permitted.
Voting
- Each $1.00 vote donation counts as one (1) vote.
- All donations from voting are non-refundable. Entries and donations must be made via the online contest page. Contest payments online are through a secure site.
- All winners will be determined by electronic vote tabulations under the supervision of GoGo Photo Contests, whose decisions are final and binding.
- The Voting Period starts at 8:00:00 AM (Eastern Time) on Saturday, March 22, 2025 and ends at 10:00:00 PM (Eastern Time) on Saturday, April 26, 2025.
Fine Print
- By submitting a photo entry, you warrant and represent that your entry is your own original work created by you and that you own or otherwise control all of the rights to your entry materials.
- If you submit an entry that is copyrighted by another individual, you are responsible for any legal action the copyright holder takes against you.
- Calendars will be available to the general public starting November 1st 2024.
- By participating in the Contest, entrants agree to release and hold harmless Athens Area Horse Community and CM Bryson and each of their respective officers, directors, representatives, volunteers and agents (the Released Parties) from and against any claims of any nature arising out of participation in the Contest or receipt or use of any prize.
