This contest is to showcase the natural environment in Grassy Waters Preserve (Preserve). Images should reflect the diversity of the Preserve including wildlife, natural habitats, animal behavior, plant life, water, weather, and seasons.

All entries must be taken on Grassy Waters Preserve property.

The Solid Waste Authority lands and trails (shown on some Grassy Waters maps) to the east of the Preserve are not part of the Preserve. The Preserve is defined in the following map…click here.

New for 2018 is a Smartphone category. Going back to previous years rules, in 2018 entries shall not contain the image of a person(s).

Again this year we will be offering a “People’s Choice” winner. This winner will be selected from all the entries based on votes by you, made through the contest website. The “People’s Choice” winner will be the entry with the most votes on the website. There is no limit to how many times you can vote for an entry, and each $1 vote is a tax-deductible contribution to the Conservancy.

All other selected winners will be judged by the Preserve and GWC staff, as well as a professional nature photographer.
