Welcome to our first ever Pet Photo Contest!



Simply put this is a contest where, by sharing your photos and by you and others voting on these entries, top vote-getters win the prize of appearing in our 2022 Pet Photo Contest Calendar! This is a great chance to not only show off your pets, but to raise funds to help our continued efforts to rescue and adopt out companion animals in Lorain County.


Your entries and voting are all done online here on this site, a one-stop shopping if you will. Just find your best or favorite digital photograph of your pet looking dopey, sleepy, grumpy (or any of the other dwarfs) and upload it here. Tell your pet's story with that photo plus text or even a video showing off their best tricks.

Next, pay the one-time tax deductible $5 Entry Fee for each entry (multiple entries are allowed) and ta-da...your photo is officially registered! Couldn't be easier.

More than one pet can be included in each registered photo. Also, registration is NOT limited to Storm's Angels alum or Lorain residents, ALL pets are welcome!

REGISTRATION PERIOD STARTS ON APRIL 1, 2021 AND ENDS MAY 15, 2021. But keep in mind early entrants are likely to get the most votes!


Now that your pet's photo has been officially entered, sit back and watch the votes roll in. Are you allowed to vote for your own pet? Yes, Yes and YES! Vote as many times as you want, and encourage your friends and family to vote early and often. Now remember, this is a fundraiser, so each vote will cost a donation of $1 each ($5 minimum per transaction). But it's going to help animals! Come on, you know you want to! Plus bragging rights of possibly having your pet be in a calendar? Not a bad deal we think.

People can vote as often as they like and votes will be displayed on the contest web page as they come in so you'll be able to see where your pet stands in the race to fame. Pets are allowed to vote for themselves as long as they have a credit card or get their paws on yours (so be careful). Disclaimer: Pets must be at least 18 days of age to vote.

Remember, it's not over til it's over so keep voting!


The top vote getter overall will have their pet featured on the calendar cover!

The remaining top 2-13 (12 total) vote getters will be featured as a pet of the month model. Their photo will be featured in 1 of the 12 months in the 2022 Storm's Angels Rescue Calendar

One Judge's Choice prize will be awarded regardless of the entrant's vote tally! This photo will be placed on both Storm's Angels website home page and as our Facebook profile photo.

A few additional entrants will be chosen by our volunteers to appear as smaller photos featured in calendar month blocks (limited number of spots available).


Reserve a day to honor your pet. For a $15 donation, your pet's photo will appear on the day of your choice. Just choose your favorite photo and then choose the day and pay! First come, first served. Once a date has been reserved, it will no longer be available. You can enter the same or a different photo for the date block, and you need not enter the contest if you just want your pet's picture inside the calendar.

Please note that entering a picture with two animals will work for the contest, but because of the size of the date blocks that can be reserved, a single-subject picture will work best there. These reserved date square pictures provide valuable extra support to the rescue.

Please consider pre-ordering a calendar. This will help us purchase the right amount of calendars so we don't waste valuable funds on extra stock. Calendars will be mailed to you in September and the price is $25 which includes shipping. Or, if you would prefer to pick your calendar up from a TBD location in Lorain for a payment of $20 please indicate this when ordering.
