Light Up 2022!

EXTENDED! Contest has been extended to June 30th! "Moctober" has not encouraged people to get out and take pics of our coastline. Share this heritage site with the world by winning a spot in our 2023 Calendar celebrating Coastal Life in Canada. All you have to do is enter and invite your friends and family to donate in support of your amazing photograph. The thirteen (13) most dynamic photographs (12 months and one cover) with the most votes at 11:59:59 PM (Pacific Time) on Thursday, June 30, 2022 will win a spot in the 2023 Sheringham Point Lighthouse Preservation Society Calendar. This year there is a 14 years and under prize!

How to Enter
Starting at 12:00:00 AM (Pacific Time) on Saturday, March 12, 2022 photos focusing on Coastal Life in Canada and the role lighthouses have played can be entered into the contest.  Of course, we prefer photos featuring the National Heritage Sheringham Point Lighthouse. The contest closes at 11:59:59 PM (Pacific Time) on Thursday, June 30, 2022, and winners will be announced June 30, 2022.

An entry fee of $5 is charged for each photograph and there is no maximum number of entries. There is also a donate-to-vote option for a People's Choice Award.

The 13 photos with the most votes will be featured on an exclusive calendar. The photos will be used for a printed and digitally produced calendar. Photographs may show fun and interesting scenes of a lighthouse, lighthouse life, natural lighthouse habitat and adaptations of what a lighthouse might look like from different perspectives. Photos should depict coastal & landscape images, likenesses of the Sheringham Point Lighthouse or other lighthouses, new or older photos. Photos can include your pets and celebrate and highlight the beauty, majesty and iconic history of the Sheringham Point Heritage Site and life on the coast. Photos with people are welcomed as long as facial features are not shown.
