Rules

  1. There is no fee to enter. Contest is open to citizens of the US only. Animals entered may be from anywhere in the U.S., but must be designated to represent the animals of Houston, San Antonio, or Pasadena, Texas.
  2. Digital photos will be accepted online from Saturday, March 1, 2014 until 9:59:59 PM (CST) Monday, March 24, 2014.
  3. Votes are $1 each, with a minimum of 5 votes($5) per transaction. Votes will be accepted from Saturday, March 1, 2014 until 10:00 p.m. (CST) Monday, March 24, 2014. Votes may be applied to one entry, or spread over several entries.
  4. Complete the online entry form and submit your photo in JPEG/JPG, PNG or GIF format. All submitted photos are subject to review by SNAP for inappropriate/offensive content. Entries deemed inappropriate or offensive will be removed and the entrant may be disqualified at the sole discretion of SNAP.
  5. Contest is limited to dogs and cats.
  6. All animals entered in contest must be spayed or neutered.
  7. Photos containing humans will not be accepted. Artwork of winning animals will focus predominately on the animal’s face. Please take this into consideration when choosing a photograph to submit. Please do not send photos of animals being held or obscured in any way.
  8. Only one animal per photo.
  9. Only one photo per animal.
  10. Incomplete and/or inaccurate entries and entries not complying with all rules are subject to disqualification.
  11. SNAP employees and board members may enter and participate in the contest.
  12. By uploading a photograph, you are certifying that you own the rights to that photograph or that you have the express written permission of the photograph’s owner to enter that photograph in the contest. All submitted photos and information become property of the Spay-Neuter Assistance Program. Entrant grants SNAP unlimited, non-exclusive rights to the submitted photograph for all purposes without further compensation. Entrant grants SNAP unlimited, exclusive rights to the artwork created from the submitted photograph.
  13. All online payments are made through a secure site – both credit and debit card transactions will be accepted.
  14. Entrants/winners under the age of 18 must have the written permission of a parent or legal guardian.
  15. SNAP is not responsible for any technical problems or for late, incomplete, stolen, or misdirected entries.
  16. All donations are non-refundable. The Spay-Neuter Assistance Program is a 501(c) 3 organization. Your donation, minus the fair market value of any prize received, may make you eligible for a tax deduction.
  17. In accepting a prize, the winner acknowledges that SNAP may not be held liable for any loss, damage or injury associated with accepting or using prize(s).
  18. Winners will be notified by email no later than Tuesday, April 1, 2014. Winners will be posted on the SNAP Facebook page, Twitter profile, and web page.
  19. Privacy policy: Under no circumstances will entrants’ name, email address, mailing address or other identifying information be share, sold or exchanged except as otherwise noted in official rules.
Entries:
  1. To enter, submit a photo and answer the online questionnaire as required.
  2. The contest is limited to dogs and cats.
  3. Photos containing imagery inconsistent with the programs and policies of the Spay-Neuter Assistance Program, including animals who appear unhealthy, neglected, or in danger may be deemed ineligible by SNAP and will be removed from the fundraiser at the sole discretion of SNAP.
  4. All entries shall become the property of The Spay-Neuter Assistance Program when received and shall not be returned.
  5. By entering the contest, each entrant consents to the Spay-Neuter Assistance Program’s use of his or her name and likeness for marketing purposes and promotions.
Winners:
  1. The eligible contestants who have received the most eligible votes during the voting period will be deemed Finalists. The top dog vote-earners for the Houston, San Antonio, and Pasadena areas and the top cat vote-earners for the Houston, San Antonio, and Pasadena areas will be designated Grand Prize winners.
  2. Grand Prize Winners will:
    • Have their animal’s face featured in artwork to appear on a series of new SNAP t-shirts.*Winners will receive a t-shirt featuring the artwork.
    • Receive the original artwork for the t-shirt from artist Kermit Eisenhut
    • Be featured in a photo displayed at the SNAP clinics
    • Be featured on the SNAP web site
    • Be featured in a story in SNAPtales, the SNAP e-newsletter
    • Receive a SNAP gift bag.

*A design by artist Kermit Eisenhut will be created using the photograph of your animal for the t-shirt. If this requirement cannot be met, an alternative prize will be substituted. The Spay-Neuter Assistance Program will determine the image to be used on the shirts.
