Pet's Story or Bio
Waldo came in to my life when I needed him most. I was going through a personal grief and really wanted something positive to focus my energy on. My husband suggested we visit Young-Williams one weekend to look for a puppy and, serendipitously, Waldo had just come in as the tiniest little stray that morning and he was the only puppy in the building. I was really uncertain at first because we didn’t know anything about him - what kind of dog, how big he would get, etc - but we went ahead and put an adoption hold on him while he waited three days for an owner to come forward. I figured I still had time to change my mind. The next two nights, I could hardly sleep thinking about that puppy waiting to come home, and I knew my mind was made up.
Waldo has been the perfect friend and addition to our family this year. We like to say that he turned out to be a very medium boy. Medium sized, medium temperament. He’s not a very good boy, but he’s not bad either. He’ll steal your napkin, but not your sandwich. He’ll destroy his dog bed, but not the couch.
Sure, there are probably some good boys out there that would have been easier to live with, but no one could have brought us more laughter and love than Waldo.
