We were lucky to get Jax as a rehome in 2013 at 1.5 years old. Jax would play fetch for hours, and would find anything for you to throw if there wasn’t a ball. He was also a runner, and would run up to 18 miles with me before I’d cut him off. He’s got more half marathon medals than most people, and even races that didn’t allow dogs would let Jax run because he was so well behaved ….and well known. Jax also swam with me side by side on days I’d have open water swims, I’d carry a ball just in case a bird or stick got him distracted. He was the best, most intuitive, cuddle buddy, Velcro weim a girl could ask for. My family always felt at ease on crazy adventures knowing Jax was with me. I have to smile at any memory we have together, much like the picture above, springing into action. Haha!
