Weimaraner Rescue of the South has rescued nearly 1,110 Weimaraners since 2002. Working throughout Alabama, Mississippi, and parts of Louisiana, Tennessee, and Georgia, our all-volunteer organization is committed to rescuing and rehoming Weimaraners who find themselves in animal controls, kill shelters, or with owners who can no longer care for them. We provide medical care for all our rescued pups, including spay/neuter, heartworm treatments, vaccinations, and any other necessary treatments. We are a foster home based organization, with volunteers spread throughout our coverage area. We also work to educate potential Weimaraner owners about the breed and responsible pet ownership.
