Tell voters something fun or interesting about the dog in the photo. Is this a WRS dog or rescued from another organization? If so, when was it adopted? Share something special that we could include on our calendar if your photo wins.
Max was adopted through a non weim specific rescue in 2011. He was pulled from a kill shelter in Tennessee and transported to New England to meet his new family (me!) in Maine. Max arrived in horrific condition... The vet begged me to put him down and told me he had less than a 7% chance of survival. He spent his first week in a vet during the day, at home with me at night - I pleaded with my vet to allow this - he needed a reason to fight. On the 8th day, he finally started his recovery. He came home that night with a $10k bill, weighing in at 47 pounds, supposedly "adult" sized (though I think he was around 15 months). I couldn't have wished for a better ending to Max's story, he's been a loyal companion and an amazing best friend. He's traveled everywhere with me and enjoys lots of snuggles and cuddles.
Max likes to keep up with current breed info... But then gets sleepy... He tells me he's an expert in this field (the sleeping bit).
