Your Pet's Story or Bio
Melissa was adopted from the AWLA in September of 2002 when she was 4 1/2 months old. She has been an indoor-outdoor cat all of her 18 years, and loves to hide herself among foliage. She is very intelligent. She understands many phrases such as: “Get on your chair,” “Do you want to go out?,” “Something to eat?” “Speak!” and many other dictates. When she was younger she was a great huntress, catching many mice, birds, squirrels, frogs and a few other critters. We managed to save a few of them! She often slept with my daughter when she was young. She loves hugs, massages and face tickles, and will cuddle up to her family on the sofa. One physical feature that has always stood out to us was her long, perfectly curled whiskers.

She has been a high-maintenance girl, but always a beauty.
