Snickers came to the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria last month. At just six weeks old and weighing less than a pound, he and his four siblings were too small to be adopted, and so they spent some time with one of the AWLA's foster caregivers while they continued to grow.

Unfortunately, during a bout of kitten rough-housing, Snickers fell off the bed. His foster noticed his limp immediately and rushed him to the AWLA to see our shelter veterinarian. He was clearly scared and hurting, and a radiograph showed that he had a painful sprain to his back leg. Our veterinary team got him some medication to help with the pain and splinted his leg so it could heal while he continued to recuperate in his foster home.

Your vote for Snickers means he can get the medical attention and painkillers he needs. It gives him time in foster so he can grow and heal. And it means that when he is big enough, he can have his kitten vaccinations and neuter surgery, so he can find a family of his own.
