Pet's Story or Bio
We rescued our sweet, loving Zoey from the Milwaukee Humane Society in 2014. She was the last of her litter as her sibling was being taken home the next day. I was 8 at the time so we grew up together in a way. In April of 2024, we had to put her to rest after she had fought a 5 month battle with a rapidly growing cancer near her stomach. As it grew, she became unable to use the bathroom. After her diagnosis in January, my life revolved around hers- we took her as many places as a dog can go to make sure she had the best few months a dog could ask for. She was my best friend, soul dog, and the loss of my life. She loved going on walks- even when she was getting weak towards the end (we took her in a wagon instead!), and she would eat anything in sight with her all time favorite being canned tuna. I swear she could sense when I would go to open it because she was always jumping up and down waiting to get a bite! I hope this honors Zoey!
