Pet's Story or Bio
We adopted Chewy from WHS-Milwaukee 7 years ago and has made our family complete. He puts a smile on everyone's faces, cleans up food crumbs like a champ and loves to visit his "guys" at Engine House 35 of the MFD on his walks.

Chewy was a surrendered 1 year old dog to WHS. When saw his picture on the website, we knew he was the one. We crossed our fingers that he would be available when I got off work. When we checked in we were told another was considering him for adoption. We decided to stay and take our chances. When our buzzer went off, we were thrilled to be taken to Chewy. We immediately fell in love (and we like to think he was just waiting for us).

Chewy has recently recovered from eye surgery to heal an ulcer and this picture is from the first day he didn't have to have a "cone of shame" on. He was in a cone for about 8 weeks this Spring/Summer.

We love Chewbacca and always are supporters of rescue animals! Thank you WHS for helping us complete our little family!
