Pet's Story or Bio
Frank--or as we call him, Frankie Sunshine--was an adult, very feral cat when we spotted him in our back yard in March 2021. He was adorable and we knew right away we wanted to trap him and tame him down to be a pampered housecat. He was a mess...matted so tight he had to be shaved bald, worms (two kinds!), the works. It was clear he'd never interacted with humans before. It took months of working with him, doing trust-building and socialization. It was difficult, often frustrating, but ultimately joyful. He's now fully integrated into our multi-cat household. He is an amazing, big personality. He has a wardrobe and loves to trot around wearing his shirts. He has his own Twitter account focusing on feral cat issues and all the various aspects of feral/community cat life including TNR, barn cat programs, etc. It's hard to believe he was a hardcore feral cat, but he absolutely was. He just goes to prove, never sell a feral cat short, because they can delight and surprise you in the most amazing ways!
