Pets Age/s? How long have they been a part of your family?
Barry is 7 and he has been with me since March 2020. Adelaide is 3 and was adopted in May 2022.

Please tell voters more about your special pet/s. How did they come to be part of your family? Make it interesting, fun and heartfelt to encourage those votes!
Barry was an Amish puppy mill dog from Ohio where he spent the first 5 years of his life. He came to me through Weimaraner Rescue of the North/NYSWR. He was terrified of everyone and everything. They had to pick up his back legs and wheelbarrow him to get him in a vehicle. Hence this is how he got his name Barry (from barrow). With a little TLC and help of my other dog Cinnamon (who has since passed) and time Barry learned to be a dog. He still gets a little skittish from time to time but he loves his walks and enjoys hiking with me. He now loves everyone and everything. I could not ask for a better dog!

Adelaide was adopted after Cinnamon had passed. She is a typical Weimaraner with tons of energy. She follows me everywhere in the house. I think Cinnamon told her to keep an eye on me. She is such a sweetheart and loves to give kisses!

Together these two enjoy each other’s company and wrestle around during the day when I am at work. Saturday mornings we walk up to the local coffee shop for breakfast and meet other people and dogs.

Tell us about your pet(s) habits, personality and quirks! What makes them special and unique?
Barry is a big boy weighing in at over 90lbs. Believe it or not but his favorite pastime is lying on the couch. He is happy dog that has been through a lot.

Addy likes to follow me everywhere I go inside and outside the house. Every time I turn around, she is not far behind. She enjoys chasing the rabbits and birds and already caught a few. She brought 2 rabbits into the house to play with, but I was able to get them from her before she harmed them.

They make a great pair! :)

Addy may be small but she is a very vocal dog and let's everyone know it. Barry is a gentle giant and is really the best dog ever.
