Mae (black) was abandoned in the woods as a 8 week old with 3 other litter mates. When Mae was at her foster house and I was around she would escape out the fence to come find me, I took her home for a trial and she never left. Penny Lane was the last of a little of puppies from a stray dog in a neighborhood, she was surrendered to a local rescue group here in southern Louisiana (the same Mae was from) when an impending hurricane/tropical storm was set to come in mid-July 2019 -( this was 2 months after we lost our 15 yr old dog and our 14 yr old had been sick for 2 years and getting worse) we offered to foster for the weekend and after 2 hours with us I was making phone calls to beg to keep her.

Tell us about your pets funny quirks, habits and personality!
Mae loves the sunshine and lays out observing the neighborhood and fusses when things aren’t right. She loves to be held and begs for it, I’ve cooked with her on my hip like a toddler before. She howls with passing sirens and LOVES to eat fruits and veggies.
Penny Lane loves belly rubs and will sit next to you and paw your arm for attention. She likes to keep all the toys piled on her mat and the couch is her safe spot and that is where she prefers to observe from. She tries to like fruits and veggies as eagerly as her big sis but tends to spit most things other than carrots, apples and banana back out.
They both LOVE camping, hiking, going for walk/runs and visits to grandma and grandpa’s for a run in the fields.
