Pet's Story
Lilly was a Craigslist reject because they could not potty train her. It took all of one week to fix that. First long hair dachshund we've owned. Rudy was also a Craigslist reject. His owner dumped him on his parents and they were moving to an apartment. Although older and definitely abused, he has found a forever "pack" with us. He is our fifth doxie. Lucy came from the Ramona Humane Society at a California truck stop. Min-pins were new to us, but she is decidedly one of the "pack" here. She wants to be the alpha, but Lilly still controls the group. She is an escape artist and fast, too! All three are chipped and complete our family of 5. Moles and mice are in danger when these three are around, but the rabbits seem to have beat the odds... so far. They are inseparable, and Rudy (eldest) and Lucy (youngest) are constantly burrowing into mole holes, and bedding together. Lilly will happily sleep on top of them if she can get away with it... which is rare, because Lucy very vocally complains. Her long hair makes her want to stay above the covers, but she has been known to calculate an interception to fleeing prey. She expends the least energy, but the shortest distance. The only rabbit ever caught by them was by her, and she didn't know what to do, so it wriggled free.
