Chase is a 10-year-old Clydesdale/Paint gelding standing at 16.3 hands and weighing 1350 pounds. Chase came to Rochester’s Mounted Unit in January of 2021 being only 6 years old. During his trial period, it was evident that being a Mounted Police horse was his destiny.

Chase passed his training/trial period with honors. Chase acquired his name, previously named Jackson, by having a naming contest throughout the Rochester City Schools. A young boy who was hospitalized for many months saw “Jackson” and immediately entered the name of Chase. This young boy would pass the time while in the hospital watching Paw Patrol and loved the character Chase.

Chase loves his job! He loves the attention, interaction, and being pet. Chase is known for his affection . He has been a huge ambassador for the City of Rochester watching over and protecting the Rochester community. Chase is enjoyed by many with his presence throughout his daily activities.
