I knew I wanted a rescue dog who would play frisbee with me so I took to Petfinder.com and put in my criteria. The saddest looking dog photo I've ever seen popped up and said "URGENT". Oh no! Does this mean what I think it does? I quickly called the Stark County pound and said Stop! Don't do it...I'm coming but it would take me about 2 hours to get there. I was so excited but so scared they wouldn't wait. When I got to the shelter I was shown a room with about 20 dogs all yipping and barking...except for one at the very end... There was that sad, quiet pup I'd seen on Petfinder and I fell in love as soon as I saw him. We've been best friends now for almost 12 years and he loves frisbee, walks on the beach, and ice cream. I think that day in Stark County we saved each other. Every day I look at him and wonder how I got so lucky!
