Peanut was abandoned by her fur mama and I took her in. She was barely alive and I didn't think she would make it. As Peanut's new mommy, I wrapped her in heating pads and bottle fed her. She used to snuggle up in my neck, just barely a little "peanut". That is how she got her name. She slept in a clothes basket next to my bed so I would hear her during the night if she needed fed. After work in the evenings, I would sit with my hand in the basket and she would snuggle against it. Peanut is now almost 3 years old, loves her mommy, and still plays in the clothes baskets. She still sleeps with me, but now it is on my head. :) Peanut will jump on my lap at night and snuggle her head against my hand. Peanut loves to play with her fuzzy balls, bringing them to you to throw. All you have to do is say, "ball, ball?" to get her attention. We found out by accident, that if mommy raises her voice too loud, she runs to mommy and jumps on her lap! (I was yelling at the TV...lol) She loves to try anything you are eating and likes to lick the cheese off of Doritos. She is into everything and thinks she needs to help. Peanut makes my life complete. She is a member of the family and I can't remember what it was like before she came to me. The day I had to take her to get fixed, I cried when I had to leave her!!! My kids know I spoil her and they tease me about it all the time, but when they grow up and move out, I will have my Peanut. :) She is a beautiful, long-haired, grey and white sweetheart.
